Scott Newman, Head Golf Course Superintendent
Scott is a native of Louisiana. He has been a member of the Spring Creek Ranch family since 2004. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy with an emphasis on Turf Management. Scott joined SCR after working as an assistant superintendent at New Orleans Country Club. He has also worked at the University Club and Money Hill Golf club in Louisiana.
Scott and his wife, Barron, have been married for 4 years and have one son and are expecting their second child in August.
Jordan Carlisle, Assistant Golf Superintendent
Jordan assumed his position in 2007 after an 8 month internship the previous summer and fall. A native of Grand Junction, TN, he was reared on Ames Plantation, an 18,600 acre working plantation east of Collierville. He graduated from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy with an emphasis in Golf and Sports Turf Management.
Jordan and his wife, Mary Kate were married in June of 2011 and enjoy hunting, fishing and Mississippi State Athletics. Go Dawgs!
Carl Scott, Equipment Manager
Carl is a native of Ohio and began his mechanical career in the United States Air Force as an aircraft maintenance technician. He moved to Memphis in 1981 to work for Turfaid, Inc (local Toro Distributor) as a turf equipment mechanic. Carl served at the equipment manager for Colonial Country Club for 19 years. He joined the Spring Creek Ranch family in 2007.
Carl and his wife, Cynthia live in Fayette County and have one son, Colton.
